Platen Assembly

Platen Assembly for use in the Hybrid, Hybrid 2.0, and QuickSand.

IMPORTANT: The platen is a key component in the disc repair operation. Its grip material holds the disc in place as it spins throughout the repair cycle. Failure to maintain this grip can result in the disc spinning independently of the platen, raising the temperature, and damaging the platen and/or disc. If there are any indications that the platen is losing its grip (ie. unusual noise, rattling, or orange fan blades hesitating) please take immediate action to remedy the situation, like replacing the pads or adjusting the pressure. If these measures fail to correct the situation, it’s likely time for a new platen.
